The highly reputed French painter Claude MONET (1840-1926) was a very amazing man. He spent most of his life in his garden, painting the lotus pond at different seasons of the year.
Claude Monet’ lovers can admire his garden of Giverny, where time seems to have been frozen. Amazingly, nothing has changed : the lotus pond, the small japanese red bridge, his house with the huge painting hall. We must congrats the highly qualified gardeners who are maintaining Monet’s inspiration.
Giverny is one hour from Paris by train (railway station : gare Saint Lazare).
MONET is a revolutionary painter. He broke the standards of paintings by introducing movement, colours and light. He also initiated the abstract art because when you approach his paintings, you just see touch of colours. The whole subject appears when moving some steps back.
